I recently completed the sale of my Emmer Green property through Walmsley and was very satisfied with the service from the initial valuation, through agreement of the content of the property brochure, organisation of viewings and then liaising with the eventual buyers to achieve a successful outcome. Every one I dealt with in the Sales team was friendly and professional and good communication was maintained. A special mention of Paula Abbott who looked after the critical period after an offer had been made and accepted. She was always accessible, rang back promptly when I left a message, provided really practical advice and was always willing to work positively between me and the buyers when I felt things weren't going quite as I expected and reassure me with a sensible rationale for events - no unhelpful sugar coating of the facts! I have moved house quite often over the years and, based on that experience, Walmsley are right up there amongst the very best.

Walmsley managed to sell my flat for more than the asking price in just over 3x weeks of it going on the market. They charged a fixed rate which was lower than the other big estate agents in Reading and were friendly and professional during the whole process.Craig came to the flat twice in person to run through their services and the process with us, and was the one who negotiated the sale and got us such a fantastic offer.Paula was instrumental in helping us have an offer accepted on the house we ended up buying by speaking with our seller's estate agent and re-assuring him of our due diligence and how secure our buyer was.Their efforts helped us in having a massive increase to our QoL, going from a 1x bedroom flat next to a busy road, to a 3x bedroom house in the country, with money to spare allowing us to furnish/decorate it upon moving in.We will definitely be recommending them to our friends and family in the future.

Earlier this year Walmsley both sold our house and the house we bought. We had an incredibly good experience with them in both instances. The people at Walmsley were fantastic at every stage: showing us houses, getting ours on the market, and during the buying/selling process.We couldn't be home when the photos of our house were being taken but Craig met the photographer and handled everything for us, including moving some incredibly heavy boxes to get a good photo of our spare room - something we did not expect him to do!Paula was absolutely fabulous once offers had been accepted and we were going through the buying/selling process. Like every house purchase, there were some bumps in the road, but Simon and Paula kept us well informed and we managed to navigate through. Now we are in the house of our dreams where we get to raise our toddler!

Had a brilliant experience selling my house with Walmsley. In fact this is the third house Simon, Craig and the team have sold for me in 25 years. Selling a house is never stress-free but the Walmsley team somehow absorb much of it!I made a mistake initially by engaging a different Caversham estate agency to sell my house - I was seduced by the number of their boards in Caversham Heights and the suggested selling price (far too high I realise now).In the end, switching to sound advice and realistic pricing from the Walmsley team got me the result I wanted. Selling your home is stressfull enough, but selling my late mothers home overwhelmed me, I didnt know where to start. Everything from start to finish was smooth and efficient, we couldn’t fault them at all. The communication was excellent and any issues we had with the rental were quickly resolved.
